I first started my knitting journey in 2021 by posting finished knits over on Instagram and accidentally stumbling onto the amazing online community.
2021, The middle of the pandemic. With everyone cutting their bangs too short, reading wacky books, and baking way too much bread.
The days were long, slow… and I wanted to try something New!
Honestly not sure what inspired me... Having never knit before,
but somehow 2 months ahead of Christmas I thought.
I'm gonna learn to knit!
and while I'm at it!
Why not just Knit Christmas gifts for my whole family??
Having zero idea about needles or yarns, I went to the Dollar Store, grabbed some cheap needles and the ugliest grey, itchiest yarn I could find. Spent the following two days watching YouTube tutorials on how to knit a squares.
With all new experience I felt finally ready.
Took exactly 2 months to knit 4 hats (at the time I thought very gorgeous but in reality... ewww ) and also 4 matching scarves.
I was HOOKED!!
Knitting became an obsession and I haven't stopped since! I'm so grateful to be able to find this community, my true passion, and the amazing friends I've been able to make along the way.
